Introduction:

Castle View is a private home and Bed & Breakfast just off the A351 in Harman's Cross, Dorset. We have three rooms for Bed & Breakfast, all on the first floor. The facilities are not suitable for the disabled. Please read the following statement of our provision and contact us if anything is unclear.

Pre-Arrival:

• Our website gives you details of our rooms, the facilities we offer and our terms & conditions
• Bookings can be made by phone or email
• Although we are on a bus route, the timetable is very sparse, so Castle View is really only suitable for guests with cars
• The nearest mainline station is Wareham which is 7 miles away
• There is a Swanage Railway line station at Harman's Cross which gives access to Swanage and Corfe Castle. It is a few minutes walk from Castle View
• The nearest airport is Bournemouth which is 20 miles away

Arrival & Car Parking Facilities:

• Drive through Corfe Castle village and follow the A351 into Harman's Cross
• Castle View is one of the first houses on the left. It has a street lamp outside and two stone gateposts with lions on
• If you reach the cross-roads you have gone too far . . .
• You come up a short drive to plenty of parking at the side and rear of the house, with turning space at the front and rear. As well as the hard standing surrounding the house, there is also overflow parking available in the field to the rear during good weather
• Our driveway is a right of way for our neighbours so please be considerate when parking and ensure that they have access
• Assistance with luggage is offered to all guests
• The Bed & Breakfast entrance is at the side of the house and can be accessed directly from the driveway. There is a step up of 7 inches over the threshold into the hall
• There is adequate lighting outside the house

Main Entrance & Reception:

• The front door opens into the hall and is level
• Guests are taken to their rooms

Public Areas - General (Internal):

• The guests' dining room, hall, landing and stairs are all carpeted with short pile carpet
• The guests' kitchen, (where the washing machine and tumble dryer are located), has lino flooring

Public Areas - WC:

• Guest bedrooms are en-suite
• There is no downstairs toilet

Restaurant / Dining Room, Bar & Lounges, Take Away & Cafe:

• Breakfast is served in the dinning room between 8am and 9.30am Monday to Saturday and 8.30am to 10am on Sunday
• Furniture is free standing
• There is no piped music used in Castle View
• There is a no-smoking policy throughout Castle View
• Vegetarian and specialised diets can be catered for on request

Laundry:

• Available - guests have use of a washing machine and tumble dryer

Bedrooms:

• The three bedrooms are all on the first floor and are accessible via a carpeted rise and turn staircase. The first step is straight followed by 3 turned steps, 6 straight steps and 3 more turned steps. The steps are all 8 inches high. The straight steps are 10 inches deep and the turned steps taper from 20 inches to 3 inches. There is a wooden hand rail and a wall on the other side. There is level access to all the bedrooms
• The doors are lockable and guests have their own keys for the duration of their stay. They also have a key to the Bed & Breakfast front door
• There are smoke detectors in all rooms
• All rooms have remote control flat screen freeview televisions with integrated DVD players, clock/radio alarms and hairdryers
• The bedroom floors are carpeted and the bathrooms are ceramic tiles
• There are Tea and Coffee making facilities available in all rooms
• All bedding is man-made fibre
• All beds have pocket sprung mattresses's with memory foam toppers
• All rooms are very well lit with overhead and bedside lights as well as additional lighting next to the Tea and Coffee making facilities

Bathroom, Shower-room & WC (En-suite or Shared):

• All rooms have en-suite facilities consisting of standard toilet & wall-hung washbasin
• Bedrooms two and three both have shower baths. Bedroom four has a walk in shower and separate bath
• There are mirrors over or next to all the washbasins with lights and shaver points
• Towels are supplied and each bathroom has a heated towel rail

Grounds and Gardens:

• The gardens at Castle View are private
